About the role: We seek a dynamic, customer-facing Azure Cloud Engineer to work as part of our Professional Services team in the completion of complex IT projects.
What You'll Do: Provide hands-on technical support for complex projects, focusing on production and implementation.Participate in project work plans and report deviations to Project Managers as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.Effectively apply Dataprise methodology and enforcing project standards.Minimize exposure and risk to Dataprise on projects.Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.Serve as a technical escalation point for technical staff from other Dataprise departments.Work with account teams to identify and resolve persistent and lingering issues.Ensure that timely communications and updates are provided to all relevant parties.Design, implement, and manage secure, scalable, and reliable Azure infrastructure environments.Assist with implementing Azure infrastructure enhancements to streamline customer workloads.Assist with the planning and migration of complex customer workloads to Microsoft Azure.Assist with maintaining continuous-integration & continuous-deployment (CI/CD) platforms.Develop cloud automation tailored to unique customer needs and requirements.Gather, review, and validate network requirements, VNETs, and network security groups.Deploy and configure both Azure Native and custom network and firewall configurations.Assist with troubleshooting various technologies such as Hyper-V, VMWare, Windows Server, Active Directory, and physical infrastructure issues.Implement Azure monitoring and diagnostics pipelines based on unique customer needs.Support the Project Architecture team as needed, to include customer-facing discussions about Azure products offerings.Utilize PowerShell, Azure CLI, and other scripting languages to complete day to day tasks. What Skills & Experience You'll Need: Several years of experience working in project-based environments and/or reporting to Project Managers.Experience planning, designing, & deploying Azure infrastructure and resources.Familiarity with Azure Active Directory administration.Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) workflows (Azure ARM, Bicep, and/or Terraform).Experience with Azure Resource Manager (ARM).Familiarity with the BICEP development language. (Preferred)Experience or familiarity with utilizing Azure Migrate and/or Azure Site Recovery for migrations.Familiarity with migrating customer applications to cloud-native PaaS solutions.Basic understanding of the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) methodology.Basic understanding of the Microsoft Zero Trust security model.Knowledge of Git and Branching Strategies.Basic understanding of Azure DevOps workflows.Great people, customer service, and verbal/written communication skills.The desire to be our next rock star as you are passionate, hardworking, a team player, and motivated to delight customers.Any of the following certifications are preferred:Microsoft Certified: Azure FundamentalsMicrosoft Certified: Azure Administrator AssociateMicrosoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect ExpertMicrosoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert
