* Design, develop, and implement automated systems and processes for manufacturing and production lines, ensuring they meet quality
standards and improve efficiency.
* Create and maintain PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) programs, HMI (Human-Machine Interface) configurations, and other automation
software for various equipment and machinery.
* Design and integrate multi-axis robotic systems and pneumatic components into production processes, ensuring optimal performance and
reliability.
* Integrate automated systems with existing production equipment, ensuring seamless operation and minimal downtime.
* Analyze current production processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement automation solutions to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and lower operational costs.
* Work closely with automation colleagues in Europe and Canada to align automation strategies, share best practices, and ensure consistency across global operations.
* Perform routine maintenance on automation systems and troubleshoot any issues that arise to minimize production disruptions.
* Work closely with the production, quality, and maintenance teams to ensure automation systems align with overall manufacturing goals and quality standards.
*Develop and maintain technical documentation for automated systems, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and user manuals.
*Provide training and support to production staff on the operation and maintenance of automated systems.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
* Proven experience in designing and implementing automated systems in a manufacturing
environment.
* Proficiency in PLC programming, HMI development, and automation software.
* Strong understanding of multi-axis robotic systems, pneumatics, industrial control systems,
sensors, actuators, and robotics.
* Experience with CAD software for designing automated systems.
* Knowledge of industry standards and safety regulations related to automation.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
* Knowledge of Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and smart manufacturing technologies.
