AUTOMATION ENGINEER (Advance Process Development and Automation Department) We need an Automation Engineer who will be responsible for designing, developing, and scaling up or outsourcing new processes for the NPD products. Translate product requirements into process design from the beginning of NPD projects through the end of the life of the product line to ensure each product is manufacturable, cost-competitive, reliable, and state-of-the-art from the design and process viewpoints. Develop efficient, cost-effective new process platforms (Process, automation, manufacturing tooling, assembly fixtures, and equipment) internally for prototype and/or mass production (includes hardware and software setup).
About the Job: Develop automated machinery or systems intended to perform specific tasks, from conception to the prototype up to the mass production phase. Responsible for offering extensive documentation, including guidelines for design, to facilitate product manufacturing and implementation. Recommend and design appropriate processes, equipment, tooling, and fixtures to ensure conformity to the manufacturing criteria for new products and product line expansions. Prepare reports and technical specifications. Conduct experimental tests and evaluate results. Comply with all established procedures to ensure safety, equipment, and accuracy of results. Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering (Process and equipment), Sourcing, Purchasing, Quality, Supply Chain, and other functions on production line integration and transferring, product roadmap, product design and release, process design and release, and customer service. Continuously support process engineering to improve the existing processes and products using DFX, DOE, PFMEA and track back to DFMEA and/or statistical tools. Actively participate in NPD and other projects. Support and participate in quality-related activities, issue creation, and implementation. Other duties as assigned. About You: Graduate of Automation Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering course with some mechanical, electrical, electronics engineering, or physics background or similar. Knowledgeable in PLC programming and Arduino software and hardware. Knowledgeable in HMI-Touch Panel Programming (Keyence, Delta, Proface, Omron, Siemens). Knowledgeable or experienced in mechanical CAD drawing (Autodesk/Solidworks/Creo), 3D CAD modeling, product design, and design for manufacturing. Knowledgeable in various types of programming languages like procedural programming (C#, C, C++, Java, BASIC), object-oriented programming, and other programming languages. Knowledgeable in IAI Robo Cylinder programming or equivalent. Has a creative mindset to find new design concepts. Minimum of 5 years of experience as an automation engineer.
