Australian Payroll Specialist (Office-Based)

We are seeking an experienced Australian Payroll Specialist proficient in Xero, QuickBooks, and MYOB. The ideal candidate will manage payroll processes accurately and in compliance with Australian laws and regulations, ensuring timely payments and proper reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage end-to-end payroll processes, including calculating wages, deductions, and superannuation contributions.
Process payroll for a variety of employment types (full-time, part-time, casual, and contractors).
Ensure payroll compliance with Australian taxation laws, awards, and Fair Work Act requirements.
Prepare and submit Single Touch Payroll (STP) reports to the ATO.
Generate and review BAS, PAYG, and superannuation reports.
Process payroll using Xero, QuickBooks, and MYOB software.
Update employee information in payroll systems and resolve discrepancies.
Address employee inquiries related to payroll, leave entitlements, and other pay-related issues.
Assist with onboarding and termination processes, including final pay calculations.
Identify and implement opportunities to improve payroll efficiency and accuracy.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Australian payroll regulations and tax laws.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in Australian payroll.
Proven experience with Xero, QuickBooks, and MYOB payroll modules.
Proficiency in payroll software (Xero, QuickBooks, MYOB).
Strong understanding of Australian tax regulations, superannuation, and payroll compliance.
Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
Excellent communication skills to handle employee queries effectively.
Attention to detail and accuracy in processing payroll data.
Strong organizational and time-management skills to meet deadlines
Willingness to work onsite as required.
Availability to start immediately is a plus.
