An Audit intern supports the audit team in various tasks related to assessing and reviewing an organization's financial statements, controls, and compliance. Their responsibilities often include:
Assisting with Audit Planning: Support the planning phase by gathering preliminary data and understanding the scope and objectives of the audit
Documenting Findings: Assist in documenting audit procedures and findings, ensuring that all information is accurately recorded and organized for review.
Testing Controls: Help test internal controls by evaluating processes and transactions to ensure they adhere to company policies and regulatory requirements.
Analyzing Data: Review and analyze financial data, identifying any discrepancies or irregularities that may require further investigation.
Preparing Workpapers: Create and maintain detailed workpapers that support audit findings and provide a clear audit trail. This involves organizing evidence and preparing summaries of test results.
Supporting Auditors: Provide support to senior auditors and managers by performing requested tasks, such as preparing schedules, retrieving documents, and following up on action items.
Learning and Applying Audit Standards: Familiarize yourself with relevant auditing standards, procedures, and regulations. Apply this knowledge to ensure that audit work is conducted in accordance with professional standards.
Assisting with Reporting: Help prepare draft audit reports by summarizing findings, highlighting key issues, and compiling recommendations for improvements.
Maintaining Confidentiality: Ensure that all sensitive information obtained during the audit is kept confidential and secure.
Administrative Support: Assist with administrative tasks, such as organizing files, scheduling meetings, and preparing documentation for audit reviews.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Studying BS in Accounting, Financial Management, or any related program.
Basic understanding of accounting principles.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
Detail-oriented and organized.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
