ACCOUNTANT
Our awesome client, a leading/start-up Consultancy company based in Australia is looking for a/an Accountant to be part of their accounting team.
WHAT WILL BE YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Managing the end-to-end accounts function for our clients including bookkeeping, BAS, payroll, payment runs
Accounts payable and receivables management
Accurate supplier payment run preparation
Debtor management and ensuring invoices are paid on time
Accurate and timely preparation of client work
Completion of IAS and BAS returns before the ATO due date
Reconciling and reviewing accounts in a timely manner
Ad-hoc assistance to the head of finance
Helping implement best practices and process improvements WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR
Perfect and excellent written and spoken English
Willing to work Australian hours (Melbourne)
Knowledge of the Australian Tax System and Legislation
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Advanced knowledge of Gmail / Google Doc, Sheets, Mail, Calendar
Experience with Xero (desirable, but if not we will teach you)
Experience with Australian businesses is preferred
