Responsible for all phases of planning and execution on small, medium to large size power consulting projects of significant complexity.
Plans, organizes, coordinates, and controls consulting projects in accordance with the established policies, procedures, systems, and requirements approved by the company.
When functioning as the Project Manager, is responsible for the entire project.
Supervises project personnel through subordinate leaders.
May be working on concurrent projects as Project Manager.
May serve as a proposal manager to the projects to which they will be assigned.
May be required to support business development activities.
Safety and wellness, prepares and implements a health and safety plan for the project and ensures a culture of safety.
Demonstrates full commitment to all health and safety matters and provides safety leadership to the project team.
Identifies potential risks or new risks as the project progresses and effectively develops risk mitigation, contingency and resolution plans.
Identifies and understands the client's key drivers (KPIs).
Prepares and implements a communication plan based on the scope of work.
Understands client delivery models and effectively identifies and manages different stakeholders.
Leads a project team that may be comprised of multi-discipline members.
Implements communication tools and process to ensure all team members are informed about project status and key performance indicators.
Oversees, motivates and monitors the performance of the team, ensuring quality and timeliness of assignments and roles, and addresses any performance gaps.
**Here's What You'll Need**:
Preferably Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent together with significant project and managerial experience.
Post-chartered / post-licensed Engineering experience in Water Projects.
Extensive experience in feasibility, conceptual, detailed design and construction phases.
Experience in tendering processes and post award project set up and planning.
Ability to recognize and recommend process and procedural improvements.
Self-motivated and results orientated, proactive with good planning and follow-up skills.
Capable of managing and prioritizing multiple projects/tasks.
Ability to communicate between all levels of management and clients, both written and verbally.
Possess a functional knowledge or experience and proficiency in the field of multidisciplined design.
