1. Review existing store's product offerings in assigned department
2.
Responsible for planning, managing, selecting, and purchasing merchandise from suppliers whether local or foreign
3.
Understands customer demand (price, quality and availability) - conducts market and price surveys, analyzing sales trends, buying patterns, price movements, product introductions/innovations and reacting to changes in demand integral to the planning and selection of product assortment
4.
Initiates and implements the development and sourcing of house brands or specialty brands that will serve as differentiator of the store's offering and enhance the business' profitability
5.
Supplier development and relationship management including contracts negotiations and maximizing supplier terms
6.
Supplier development and management to secure the best prices, terms and support;
7.
Establish and implement selection processes and reordering system
8.
Ensuring that stocks are delivered from supplier to warehouse, then from warehouse to store timely and accurately
9.
Takes the lead in coordinating with relevant units within the team to ensure upload of product information, description and costs into the POS system as well as the delivery of the same to the retail sites or branches
Responsible for the strict monitoring and implementation as well as improvement of documentation and approval processes from ordering to delivery to payment of goods and services procured

**Education**:
- Bachelor's (preferred)
**Experience**:
- Assistant Buyer: 1 year (preferred)
