Job Description The Asia IFRS 17
Shared Services Leader is responsible for contributing to IFRS 17 financial
process efficiency and financial reporting initiatives within the Asia Finance
operations. The role involves coordinating with cross-functional teams,
assisting in the development and execution of finance policies, and ensuring
compliance with accounting standards. This position provides exposure to
advanced financial systems and processes and involves significant contributions
to strategic finance projects.
Key Responsibilities Accounting and Finance policy
development and documentation- Research
and draft accounting and finance policies, creating supporting documentation. User requirements for IFRS
17-related finance projects: Develop
and document user requirements for IFRS 17-related finance projects, liaising
with system developers to ensure business needs are met. Team oversight- Supervise
the financial analysts, ensuring high quality and timely deliverables. Stakeholder communication -Act
as a liaison for local business units and the group office, ensuring IFRS 17
reporting compliance and alignment with internal controls. Issue resolution -Address
IFRS 17 data, system and process issues, and support integration between
sub-ledger, general ledger and financial reporting software applications. Technical support- Provide
expertise on IFRS 17-related queries and support communication with internal
teams. Administrative support -Manage
MS SharePoint access for Asia Finance Policies, IT audit compliance and
documentation filing. Skills Required Accounting standards: Proficiency
in IFRS 17 and IFRS 9 account posting and reporting, with a solid understanding
of related technical requirements. Organizational skills: Strong
organizational abilities with a focus on accuracy and details.Data extraction and
analytical skills: Competence
in data extraction and analysis from various finance systems.Advanced
excel skills, including data analysis, financial modelling and template
maintenance in scale.Experience
in creating professional presentations and summarizing key information for
diverse audiences. Team collaboration: Proven ability to work
collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage relationships
across multiple locations. Qualifications and Experience Bachelors
degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline CPA
or equivalent certification is preferred. A minimum of 6 years of
experience in accounting or finance within the life insurance industry,
particularly with exposure to large multinational organizations. Experience developing with
Power BI for data visualization, financial data model and financial
reporting will be considered a value-added skill but is not mandatory. Related experience to IFRS17
is an advantage Working Arrangement Hybrid - 3 days
