Hiring four (4) Architectural Draftsmans (Revit user - AU)
2 should be residing in Clark, and another 2 in Cebu.
The residential construction industry is facing a severe shortage of architectural designers and lead time on design work is at an all-time high.
This new design company presents a great opportunity to produce residential working drawings, in a quick and automated process to satisfy the demand of the New Zealand construction industry.
The purpose of the role is to:
Model and produce documentation, using Revit, from Concept Design through to For Construction sets This includes but is not limited to Resource and Building Consent and Responding to RFIs to meet the requirements of the New Zealand Building Code.
Report to the Architectural Lead / General Manager about any issues that arise during the working drawing stage.
Help streamline the documentation process if necessary.
To begin with, as the company is established and develops, this role will involve training from the
Architectural lead on the company documentation systems in place and building code requirements to
be included throughout the documentation process.
As the company and workload grows the role will be more focused on producing Working drawings with limited supervision and assist training new staff members on the documentation processes and Building
Code Standards.
**Key responsibilities**:
**Design Work**:
Produce concept plans and working drawings to office standards
Produce documentation required for pre-nailers, engineers and any other consultants
Compile specification, supporting documentation ready for Council submission.
For bespoke designs you will be responsible for taking a project from the initial Concept provided by the Architectural lead and produce the relative working drawings.
As a key Revit user, you will work with the Architectural Lead to continually improve the documentation processes and training to further the technical performance of the business.
Keeping in mind the Company standards and ideals.
Gain a working knowledge and understanding of New Zealand building products, construction details and regulations.
Communicate with project teams to produce documentation sets within the nominated timeframes.
Help maintain the Detail Library with New Zealand building product details to streamline the process for use in later projects.
Document any mark-ups from Architectural Lead to meet requests for information (RFI) from Council.
**BIM Management**:
Efficient and accurate use of Revit for modelling, coordinating, and documenting working drawings.
Follow office processes to produce high quality documentation sets and healthy coordinated models.
Using pre-set View Templates, Checklists and Detail Libraries.
Strong ability to plan ahead to ensure projects meet deadlines.
Learn to use New Zealand based software packages to produce necessary documents for
local authorities.
(GIB EzyBrace, Design Navigator for Risk matrix, H1 Calculation systems,
Masterspec, DesignIT etc).
Training will be provided for the initial use of these programs.
**Project Delivery**:
Coordinate with other New Zealand based professionals within the project team to meet
project deadlines.
Attend regular meetings with the Architectural Lead via Zoom to report progress on specific projects and how they are tracking.
Ensure all work is in accordance with the requirements from documentation processes that are in place to ensure the highest level of documentation standards are achieved.
**Relationship Management**:
Ensure strong relationships are maintained with clients, consultants and stakeholders.
Help with welcoming new members of the company, as well as training other members when required
At all times maintain a high level of professionalism, ensuring clear communication is maintained with all relative parties, on all projects both internally and externally.
**Training**:
Help train new staff / contractors in the company's systems and processes.
**Other**:
Any additional duties that may be required to carry out the purpose of the role.
Qualifications And Requirements

**Technical**:
Qualified and registered Architect or Architectural designer
Minimum 5+ years' experience at an intermediate level or higher in the construction sector
Experience documenting medium density / town house developments and sloping / difficult sections
Proficient with MS Office products such as Outlook, Excel, and Word, as well as the ability to learn new software
Strong detailing knowledge
