Applications Development Specialist

Schedule: Mondays-Fridays from 9am-6pm Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in any IT-related course, i.e., Computer Science, MathMust have working experience with the Object-Oriented development toolsMust have experience with the different Relational Database Management SystemsKnowledge on the leading web development toolsHas an Analytical and thorough approach in solving and debugging applicationsHas the ability to learn new and relevant application development tools and methodologiesMust have Analytical Ability; problem solving skills, innovative & creative thinker; good communication skills and effective interpersonal skills, passionate for work, team player Responsibilities: Stays abreast with the emerging and latest technologies on applications developmentto support business requirementsHelps in the technical evaluation of proposed packaged softwareStays up-to-date on the latest trends and aligns systems procurement and development initiatives to support sustainabilityDevelops applications and creates integration programs based on the specifications provided by the business systems team and/or external consultantsHandles development of all other reports outside the Business Intelligence tool including but not limited to automated email reports, SSRS and In-house application (eg. EPORTAL) reportsHandles data warehousing, architecture, modeling and archiving using structured and non-structured query languagesHandles all ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) requirements for business intelligence; optimizes ETL scripts to minimize run time
