6.0 **JOB DESCRIPTION AND SPECIFICATIONS**
6.1 Ensures all gathered information is accurate and exceptional customer service is demonstrated at all times.
7.0 **DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
7.1 Gathers information thru interview regarding patient's personal data and encodes information required for admission at the Hospital Information System (HIS).
Assureencoded patient's data are accurate and complete.
7.2 Assess patient's economic status and explain / inform patient's relative/s of possible hospital charges like room rates, laboratories, doctor's professional fees, etc.
7.3 Coordinates with accredited health insurance regarding patient's membership and benefits coverage.
7.4 Obtain signed documents and/or admitting forms from patient and/or patient's relative to protect hospital interest.
7.5 Explains hospital policies and regulations, such as visiting hours, financial responsibility, patient's rights, insurance benefit, if any.
7.6 Assign patient's room based on the admitting orders.
Coordinate with the assigned station on patient's admission.
7.7 Escorts patient or arranges for escort to the assigned room.
7.8 Updates and informs hospital management of in-patient daily census through the company issued mobile phone.
7.9 Ensures confidentiality of patient's records.
7.10 Maintaining appearance of the Admitting Office.
7.11 Responsible for the issuance and collection of issued remote controls on each patient's room.
7.12 Performs other functions as delegated.
