Position Summary: The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for the AR collections efforts. Partner with key internal stakeholders across the business unit(s) to improve AR DSO and resolve outstanding invoicing issues.
Key Accountabilities: • Responsible for maintaining clean AR databases; working with both the SSC and operators to maintain accuracy
• Responsible for creating a customer list spreadsheet to organize collection efforts
• Research and resolve past due accounts receivable balances and contact internal stakeholders as well as customers
• Routine communication with supervisor relating to progress and initiatives
• Responsible for weekly and monthly AR reporting package
• Research and resolve invoicing issues that may be delaying payments
• Monitor receivable balances and ensure proper cash applications
• Identify and investigate short pay and late paying clients
• Establish and maintain relationships with clients and arranging payment plans when necessary
• Notify segment finance when bad debt reserves arise
• Improve AR DSO, working capital and minimize bad debt exposure
• Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor
Required Skills: • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a relevant major preferred
• Minimum of 2 years relevant experience with collections
• Ability to communicate effectively among all levels of the organization
• Time management and flexibility to handle multiple assignments
• Persistence to follow up on collections
• Microsoft Excel and prior ERP systems
