BASIC FUNCTION

Position Overview

The Accounts Receivable team sits within the Credit & Risk team and manages the allocation of cash for Insight, across EMEA, with a primary emphasis on credit and collection.

The Accounts Receivable Analyst is responsible for the effective management, analysis, and problem resolution of Insight's outstanding accounts, and for the application of payments. The Accounts Receivable Analyst also takes ownership of and accurately maintains the accounts receivable sub-ledger by allocating cash, resolving misallocations, and processing of write-offs.

What you'll do at Insight

Post all receipts accurately and timely and ensure they are always allocated to the correct invoices, in accordance with the client's remittance advice
Directly contact the client in instances where a remittance has not been received or appears to be incorrect to allow accurate posting
Ensure daily banking is completed on time and in accordance with policies and procedures
Post journals, allocations, and write-offs promptly and accurately and ensure adherence to appropriate authorisation processes
Support the Credit & Collections team with:

- reconciling accounts as and when required
- resolving allocation and sales ledger queries and providing payment information
- providing allocation training as and when required
- and resolving any other queries that require specialist accounts receivable knowledge
Provide all necessary support for the accounts receivable, credit card, and bank reconciliations
Be proactive in suggesting and implementing improvements to procedures and policies to ensure the application of best practice always
Ensure compliance with relevant audits, regulations, and legislation by determining the impact of any changes and taking required action where necessary

What you'll need to join Insight

Graduate of Finance or Accounting or any related fields
Previous experience of accounts receivable allocation processes
Good working knowledge of computerised accounting systems
Ability to manipulate large volumes of data and carry out detailed analysis
