Responsible for performing moderate to complex outward reinsurance functions including processing of technical entries for reinsurance collections, premiums and adjustments, and updating of reinsurance reports in a timely and accurate manner.
Primary Responsibilities Process technical entries for reinsurance premiums and collections onto the system.Conduct peer reviews on reinsurance policies entered onto the company's reinsurance system.Prepare monthly schedules and ensure timely settlement of EO reinsurance premiums and collections to Equator Re.Review reinsurance contracts quarterly/annually and calculate provisions for policies that are subject to profit commissions, no claims bonus, and premium adjustments.Prepare monthly and/or quarterly statements for EO Quota Shares accounts, liaise with brokers for timely settlement of amounts due.Prepare monthly reinsurance reports for management information.Prepare quarterly and annual returns for terrorism covers, ensuring completeness of policies declared and timely payment of premium due.Coordinate with onshore, divisional counterparts, and other external parties to resolve any discrepancies on moderate to complex tasks.Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure service delivery meets customer expectations.May contribute and manage the refinement of processes, procedures, and systems to continuously improve the efficiency of accounting activities.Knowledge, Skills & Experience Knowledge of general reinsurance terminologies, accounts, and class of business.Basic knowledge of General Accounting.Strong skills in spreadsheets and analytical skills.Attention to detail.Effective time management skills to meet competing deadlines.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently.Stakeholder management skills.Graduate of any business course, preferably in Finance/Accounting.At least 2-3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a shared service environment.Skills: Analytical Thinking, Communication, Cost Management, Critical Thinking, Economic Forecasting, Financial Accounting, Financial Data Reporting, Financial Products, Intentional Collaboration, Managing Performance, Prioritization, Problem Solving, Research Analysis, Risk Management, Working Independently.
