Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager who will be responsible for overseeing accounting and revenue reporting activities and establishing policies and procedures to guide financial decisions and the protection of company assets. You will monitor, assist, and train accounting staff and assign tasks for the smooth operations of the accounting and revenue audit departments.
- Plans and directs the accounting operations of the company. Implements consistent accounting policies, procedures, and practices in the accounting and revenue audit departments.
- Prepares financial and special reports to provide the status of the financial condition of the company by collecting, analyzing, and interpreting financial data.
- Prepares budgets and analyzes budget variances to initiate corrective actions.
- Processes payroll and ensures compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Ensures that tax returns are filed and paid on time and provides tax planning to legally reduce tax costs.
- Hires, trains, and supervises accounting staff to set the department's operational strategies and priorities.
- Performs other functions and acts that may be assigned from time to time as the business requires.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA is highly preferred
- 4+ years of experience in a managerial role in accounting, preferably in a similar work environment.
- Experienced in handling/managing audits, payroll, budgeting & forecasting, creating accounting manuals, cash flow management, and reconciliations.
- Knowledgeable in national and local tax regulations and compliance reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; background in NetSuite and QuickBooks is highly preferred.
- Background working in auditing firms, especially with the big 4 is a big plus.
- Detail-oriented, well organized, adheres to deadlines, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Possesses strong leadership skills with excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills.
