Get to Know the Role Oversees all accounting operations Through active management and supervision, the accounting manager is tasked to oversee the work of the accounting team, reviewing financial statements and preparing reports for senior management. Thus it is crucial that the manager is briefed on the latest compliance memos, taking into account relevant laws and regulations.
Responsible for production of financial reports The accounting manager, though established internal control guidelines, ensures the accurate and timely preparation of financial records. These reports are used for various business operations, including budget preparation, performance reviews, and regulatory reporting.
Day-to-day Activities Reviews appropriate ledger and entries and reconciliations: Oversees the entire process of encoding accounting entries into the bank's core system. All related standard and manual entries. Maintains the general ledger system: The general ledger system is the heart of an accounting system, therefore overall management is under the control of the accounting head. Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements: All accounting activities lead to the preparation of financial reports. Individual reports have their own deadlines and the manager must ensure that these are delivered on time. Assists with regulatory reporting: Along with the standard internal reports, additional external reports are required in the banking field. This means that the manager must meet these compliance and regulatory requirements. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
