Job Role Summary: The Accounting Manager/Supervisor is responsible for managing the monthly close process for a large American company that currently operates over 60 properties in 8 states and typically completes initial book close on day 3 each month. They are active in the M&A space, acquiring new sites at a rapid pace, so the close process typically includes adding new assets to the portfolio, in addition to a typical process of reviewing and reconciling transactions within the period. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Manage the monthly close process following proper accounting procedures Monitor and analyze financial accounting dataAssist the controller (externally sourced) with the company'sannualfinancial auditsProvide journal entries for acquisitions and recapitalizations within the portfolioPerform cash reconciliations with the controller as requiredAssist with business development initiatives, including third-party management programLoan compliance and administrationPrimary reporting and financial systems used include SiteLink (Self-storage property management platform), NetSuite (Accounting), Planful (FP&A), and Tipalti (Accounts Payable)Eligibility: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related fieldMinimum of 4 to 6 years of experience in accountingCPA preferredReal Estate Accounting Experience preferredNeed to have worked for a BPO before (preferably US company)Skills: Understanding of industry standard real estate terms and concepts (i.e. cap rate, NOI, IRR, etc.) and accounting statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, etc).Ability to analyze company performance from a financial and operational perspectiveHighly analytical with advanced skills in MS Office, particularly Microsoft ExcelAbility to work independently and collaboratively with a team on multiple tasks and assignmentsDemonstrated leadership, problem-solving skills, strong verbal and written communication skillsEffective interpersonal and communication skills; adaptive to change; creativity & self-confidence, leadership qualities, team-oriented, and collaborativeAbility to work, adapt and adjust in a constantly changing and fast-paced environmentFamiliarity with computer use including relevant software applications such as Microsoft Office Suite (e.g. Outlook, Excel, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint).Work Environment: This is an onsite or work from home role. In order to qualify for a WFH arrangement, you will have to provide evidence of backup power supply (generator), dependable internet, quiet home work space, etc.This role will mirror US Day time hours, so will be an overnight shift (for example – could be 8 pm to 5 am PH time)
