Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to support our accounting team with tasks related to payment processing, cash receipts, accounts payable, and general administrative duties. The ideal candidate will have experience with QuickBooks, Office 365, and PrismHR, possess strong organizational skills, and have a keen eye for accuracy.
Key Responsibilities: · Enter and record customer payments and cash receipts accurately in the accounting system.
· Manage accounts payable, including entering, verifying, and reconciling vendor invoices.
· File and organize financial records, invoices, and other relevant paperwork.
· Perform basic administrative tasks, including handling emails and document management.
· Reconcile account balances, ensure the accuracy of transaction records, and report discrepancies as needed.
· Support the accounting team with month-end and year-end close processes.
· Utilize QuickBooks, Office 365, and PrismHR for data entry, reporting, and other accounting functions.
· Maintain a high level of confidentiality with all financial and vendor information.
Qualifications: · High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
· 3+ years of experience in an accounting or administrative role, with a focus on accounts payable.
· Proficiency in QuickBooks, Office 365, and familiarity with PrismHR.
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
· Good organizational and time management skills.
· Ability to work independently and with a team.
Preferred Skills: · Experience handling confidential financial information.
· Familiarity with other accounting software or databases is a plus.
· Strong written communication skills and a professional demeanor.
