Job Title: Accounting Assistant
The **Accounting Assistant** is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely accounting of transactions.
S/he must report or classify financial information.
The post must ensure compliance with the generally accepted accounting policies and procedures; adherence to internal controls; meeting the terms of the service level agreement consistently; and adoption of efficient workflows and best practices.
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Processes payroll, billing, receivables, payables, cash receipts, cash disbursements, and general ledger function
Ensures the monthly and quarterly Bank Compliance activities are performed in a timely and accurate manner
Resolves discrepancies and open cases, if any
Computes taxes and complies to VAT returns filing on a timely manner such as 2550M, 2551M, 2550Q, 1701Q, 1702Q, 0619E, 1601EQ, 1601C, Reconciliation of Listings for Enforcement System (Relief) on Sales and Purchases and other related reportorial compliances via monthly, quarterly, up to year-ender (Alpha list/releasing of 2316 is included)
Responsible for the issuance of 2307 and payment of 0605
Prepares budget, financial forecast, balance sheet, profit/loss statement, etc.
Keeps information confidential and secure them with random database backups.
Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by preparing budget and financial forecasts.
Summarizes current financial status by collecting information; preparing a balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other related reports
Prepares payroll/vouchering/OR /payments/billing Invoice and or statement of account for local/international and verifying documents concerning to the accuracy prior to the releasing of each document
Prepares special financial reports as needed by the management.
Responsible for the general bookkeeping, (books of accounts - manual), such as cash disbursement journal, general ledger, cash receipt journal, sales journal, purchase a journal and other related books
Performs timely remittances & accurate reporting and posting of government contributions and loan payment (SSS, HDMF, PHILHEALTH/BIR)
Performs all other duties as assigned
**JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS**:
Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent
CPA an edge, but not required
At least 1-2 Year(s) of working experience in the related field, specializing in Finance -General/Cost Accounting or equivalent
Proficient and effective English verbal and written communication skills
Highly analytical and organized with keen attention to detail
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
Ability to exercise discretion and interact with individuals at all levels and from diverse backgrounds
Ability to prioritize own workload with limited supervision
High sense on data analysis and has the ability to work and communicate with management on resolutions of issues or decision making
Excellent data entry and processing skills with an eye for detail and accuracy
Proven knowledge of general accounting concepts, rules and legal requirements.
