Job Description
**Responsibilities**:
Checking all rents are allocated correctly to our spreadsheets and into our rental software.
Checking our cashflows to see where there are issues regarding expenses that are too high.
Helping us to formulate cashflow forecasts.
Helping to create budgets for building work projects and track if we are on target.
Checking all accounts are prepared and filed on time by our Accountants
Ensuring all properties are insured on time
Arranging bills to pay
Preparing our invoices for the various companies.
Bookkeeping
Reconciling and verifying receipts and payments
Posting accounts and queries ready for review
Completing tax returns and VAT returns for review
Preparation of accounts for the for manager to review are prepared to the deadlines as directed
Preparation of tax computations and related returns for review
Use of bookkeeping software Xero (essential)
Report progress, queries or issues to the Manager and/or Partner daily
Qualifications And Requirements
Qualifications And Requirements
Essential - Solid understanding of accountancy and bookkeeping with at least three years' experience
Qualified at AAT level 3 equivalent
Essential knowledge of Xero
Ability to pick up new Accountancy systems/software
Ideally property business experience
Essential ability to multi-task, organise workload and manage priorities.
Excellent numeracy skills
Good eye for details and proofing work
Excellent interpersonal skills and team player - to deal with our team, communicating progress and issues
Excellent English and grammar
Excellent IT skills (ideally experience using Microsoft Excel, Word)
Someone who is interested in leading a team in the future and providing guidance and support to other team members in the future.
