### Job Description
Bench is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented **Accountant** to join our dynamic team in Davao City. As an entry-level accountant, you will play a vital role in supporting our financial operations, ensuring accuracy and integrity in our financial records, and contributing to our team-oriented work culture. ### Responsibilities
- **Record Keeping:** Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- **Transaction Processing:** Process financial transactions and ensure timely and accurate input into the accounting system.
- **Reconciliation:** Assist in the reconciliation of bank statements and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
- **Financial Reporting:** Help prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- **Assist with Audits:** Provide support during internal and external audits by preparing documentation and answering inquiries related to financial records.
- **Expense Tracking:** Monitor and track company expenses and analyze spending patterns to support budgeting and forecasting.
- **Tax Compliance:** Assist with the preparation and filing of necessary tax documents in compliance with local regulations.
- **Collaborative Support:** Work closely with other team members and departments to streamline financial processes and promote effective communication across departments.
- **Continuous Improvement:** Identify areas for process improvement in financial operations and suggest actionable solutions.
- **Learning & Development:** Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance your understanding of accounting principles and practices.
### Requirements
- **Educational Background:** Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- **Adaptability:** Must be adaptable to changing environments and processes, able to adjust priorities as needed.
- **Independent Work Ethic:** Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks while managing time effectively.
- **Soft Skills:**
- Strong decision-making skills, with the ability to analyze situations and determine effective courses of action.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey financial information clearly and concisely.
- **Technical Proficiency:** Familiarity with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) is a plus but not mandatory. Willingness to learn new software.
- **Attention to Detail:** Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all financial documentation.
- **Team Player:** Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment that fosters inclusivity and mentorship.
