Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure accurate and timely reporting of all monthly, quarterly financial information including month end and year-end closing of the parent, and its small subsidiaries' books.Ensure correctness and completeness of schedules to support Financial StatementsAssist the CFO in the submission of financial reports to various usersRespond to inquiries of Shareholders, Vice Presidents, CFO, AVP, Controller, and other finance organization wide managers regarding financial results, special reporting and the like.Prepare/review monthly / quarterly reports for submission to Securities and Exchange Commission, Bureau of Internal Revenue, Board of Investments and Philippine Stock Exchange.Assist in the auditor in the conduct of their interim and year end examination of the group's books of accounts.Analyzed financial accounts to provide SEC disclosures and other government statutory for a listed company.Maintained the general ledger, produced budgets, and prepared profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow statements for the parent company and its subsidiaries.Creation of financial budget/projections based on various assumptions.Computation and analysis of variances and financial ratios.Preparation of comparative financial statements.Preparation of financial information for distribution of interested parties.Compliance with GAAP, PFRS, BIR and SEC regulations.Preparation of narrative for SEC reports.Supervision of the preparation of audit (BIR/SGV) and actual schedules.Preparation of statutory and management financial reports.Bookkeeping, bank reconciliation and intercompany reconciliation.Actively engaged in company audits; audits included substantive testing of fixed assets, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other major expense categories. Tax Accounting: Preparation and filing of tax returns such as withholding tax on compensation (BIR Form 1601C), expanded withholding tax (BIR Form 1601E), final withholding tax (BIR Form 1601F), value added tax (BIR Form 2550Q), fringe benefits tax (BIR Form 1603Q), Income tax (BIR Form 1702), Annual Information returns, CAS reports, inventory list, and all other related attachments and e-submission (dat files for MAP, SAWT, SLSP)Preparation and filing of BIR returns – monthly, quarterly and annually for Parent Company and subsidiaries including required attachments.Monthly and yearly preparation of creditable withholding tax (BIR form 2307) and alpha list, respectively.Review of application of administrative claims for VAT refund, in-charge of BIR queries and monitoring of claims until final decision. Preparation of documentary requirements for external counsel and ICPA in case of judicial claims. Monitor utilization of claimed tax credit certificate.In charge of BIR tax assessments (LOA), queries and reconciliation of Tax related itemsAssist in renewal and securing permits from local government units.Assist in submission of annual reporting requirements to BOI such as VAT zero rating certification, Annual S1 Report, ATIR/ABR, CETI (if applicable)Preparation of CWT certificates; Monitor filing and payment of CCC's tax documentsand returns;Provide schedules and supporting documents for external year-end audit; and coordinate submission of BIR, BOI and BOC regulatory requirements.Manage all tax audits/reviews conducted to ensure satisfactory and efficient completion of all tax audits/review.Coordinate with tax authorities to ensure that all requirements for their tax audits are identified and complied with.Coordinate with the tax sections to ensure that all requirements by the tax authorities for their tax reviews are timely and completely prepared.Coordinate compliance with all the requirements for all tax credit/ claims applications filed with tax authorities to ensure satisfactory approval of all applications.
Qualifications
Education
BA/BS in Business with an emphasis in Accounting, CPA required
Technical Skills and Experience
5+ years' experience in general or tax accounting
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
With exposure in a computerized accounting system, preferably SAP
Must have knowledge in BIR and BOI rulings and regulations, deadlines and
requirements
Knowledgeable in BIR returns preparation and filing, assessment, refund application and
research
Familiar with Local Government Unit compliance and reporting requirements
Communicates effectively and appropriately
Detail oriented with excellent organization skills and deadline driven
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
Ability to work under less supervision
