Site Manager - Project Based

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
In coordination with the Technical & Operations Manager, manages the Participating Fishing Vessels /PFV in full capacity, on the following areas:Provisions of supplies to the operating facility (ice, consumables, etc. )
Provision of an allowance to the family of the PFV Captains and Fishers
Assigning of observers to each PFV

Supervises the onboard observers and the data collectors to document all activities of all PFVs and document landings of a control group including but not limited to the following;

Reviews and verifies data as regards transfer of all species caught (tuna, other retained and bycatch species) to the official Fish Catch Report (FCR) form as well as the Fishing Vessel Harvest Record (FVHR) form
Documentation of onboard handling practices including the fuel use, procedures until hauling of caught fish, killing method, storage technique applied and temperature recordings
Records grading of the YF tuna catch at landing, completing the FCR and FVHR forms
Records interview reports of the data collectors from other Captains & Fishers upon landing from a defined control group in defined landing sites. These are captains and fishers that don’t belong to the pilot project but that have ties to the vessels owners.Compile all data on fishing, expenses, onboard handling, and landing data in the required format and make it available to the project managers at the day of landing.

Develop quality incentive models together with the project managers and strictly apply these models in the purchase of the tuna.Financial accounting of the pilot operator as a separate profit center, including but not limited to the following :

Controls and audits of the funds for the provision of the supplies
Tuna purchases and tuna sales report
Purchases and sales report of other species
Expense report by fishing trip
Monthly expense report for the pilot operator
Derivation of EBITDA and EBIT by fishing trip for vessels
Derivation of EBITDA and EBIT for the pilot operator on a monthly basis
Prepares report regularly on activities, challenges, developments at the landing site to the project managers.
Availability in regularly scheduled telcon calls with the project management team

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
With at least 4-5 years actual or progressive working experience in the same capacity; advantage if from food /seafood processing, import /export distribution or FMCG industry
Willing to work on different shift schedules
Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy; if college /university graduate of any course must be with equivalent experience
