Key Responsibilities: This position plays a pivotal role in the technological advancement of an organization. It involves leading a team of developers and working with stakeholders to create and maintain robust software applications that drive business processes. Responsibilities include overseeing the development lifecycle, from initial design to implementation, as well as ensuring the integration of new systems with existing infrastructure. Balancing development priorities to localize Partnership level tools while keeping the needs of the Organization for developing in-house solutions as well. With a focus on innovation, he/she would also be expected to stay abreast of emerging technologies to enhance system functionality and user experience.
Solutions and Applications Development Lead Oversee the development and implementation of software solutions, based on the needs and requirements of the Organization. Guide and mentor a team of developers in best practices, agile and sprint methods. Ensure the alignment of software development with business objectives and customer needs, providing a balance of acquiring solutions, customizing/modifying existing tools and creating new solutions when needed. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technology trends and advancements. Foster a collaborative and innovative environment within the development team, clients/stakeholders and the Systems and Applications teams. Localization, Customization and Maintenance of Institutional Solutions Serve as the primary point of contact for Partnership level systems and applications, their technological adoption and integration into the National Level environment. Create a development plan, necessary connections and customizations in ensuring that institutional solutions are aligned and mated to the operational processes of the Organization. Working with the cross-functional and cross-unit team/s, outline systems innovations that can be performed at the local level, while documenting high-level show-stopping function/process gaps that need to be elevated to higher sub-units in WV hierarchy. Coordinate with higher-level support and development teams for issues that require advanced intervention and actions. Systems Processes Review and Digitalization Development Conduct a thorough review of current systems and document all processes related to systems use and adoption, their alignment with actual business processes and activities. Clearly define and articulate the objectives and constraints of the system and ensure that feedback mechanisms are in place for future improvements. Providing a critical view of our inherent systems' viability their interoperability and not just as a compliance requirement. Embrace systems thinking to improve service delivery and encourage a culture of continuous improvement within the support teams. Together with frontline and support units, implement the organizations digitalization strategy, ensuring to track progress and make adjustments as necessary and ensures it remains aligned with organizational goals and external changes. Organizational Contribution Regularly attend Corporate and Team devotion and prayer as part of staff spiritual nurturing. Participate in meetings and events such as team and organizational, as necessary. Timely submit Performance Agreements that includes Individual Learning and Development Plan and staff spiritual nurture plan, and Annual Performance Reviews. Support emergency response, as necessary. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Development, Informatics, Data Science and other Information Technology related courses. At least 5 years of experience in Applications and Systems Development, with specific expertise on software development supervision. Strong understanding of IT systems, web applications, and databases is expected. Experience and familiarity with major software development tools and languages such as PHP, Visual Basic and C#. As well as development frameworks like Laravel, AngularJS, ReactJS, VueJS, CSS Bootstrap and JQuery. Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical issues. Cloud Developer Certification or equivalent experience. Agile or SCRUM Certification a strong advantage. Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications Advanced skills in Collaboration Tools, Versioning and Code Repository Tools. Familiar with software development methodologies and approaches. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a multi-discipline environment. Experienced in non-profits and social development organization processes. Excellent communication skills, both in-person and virtual. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively. Continuous learning and adaptability to new technologies and software updates.
