Overall purpose and responsibilities of the role: We are seeking a Senior Litigation Lawyer to join our growing litigation team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in complex litigation, a proven track record of successful case management, and strong leadership skills. He will be responsible for representing clients in court, managing litigation processes, and mentoring junior lawyers.
Duties and Responsibilities: Lead and manage all aspects of litigation cases from inception/evidence gathering to resolution/execution. Conduct thorough legal research and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs. Represent clients in court hearings, trials, and negotiations. Develop case strategies and advise clients on legal rights and obligations. Collaborate with clients, experts, and other stakeholders to gather evidence and build strong cases. Mentor and supervise junior lawyers and support staff. Stay current on legal trends, rulings, and legislation affecting litigation practices. Participate in business development activities and contribute to the growth of the firm's litigation practice. Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school preferably Ateneo, UP, San Beda or UST, but not required. Must have at least 5 years of experience in litigation, preferably in civil and criminal. Strong proficiency in drafting and reviewing pleadings and delivering oral arguments Capable of leading the team and making critical decisions on case strategies Experienced in supervising and training junior lawyers Able to manage administrative tasks as needed Strong knowledge of litigation procedures and rules. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Proven ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide sound advice. Strong negotiation and advocacy skills. Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively. Experience in mentoring and developing junior attorneys. Ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships. Job type: Permanent
