MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: Establish an appropriate business strategy and risk appetite including key risk indicators to cover all risks (market, credit, and non-financial risks) which are set up with and approved by the BoD on an annual basis.Ensure proper governance and oversight function by directing the implementation and execution of risk frameworks, policies and guidelines/procedures and methodologies to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and strategy of the business which is documented in a Risk Management Manual including specific market, credit, and non-financial risk management policies approved by BOD on an annual basis.Promote strong risk culture through RM training and policy cascade to new and existing employees.Establish risk management practices and processes (Identification, Measurement, Controls & Mitigation, Monitoring & Reporting), e.g., daily Value-At-Risk Monitoring, Build-up and implementation of Credit Scorecards, assignment and review Order and Counterparty Trade Limits, implementation of Business Continuity Management (BCM) program and Business Continuity Plan (BCP).DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensure proper governance and oversight function by directing the implementation and execution of risk frameworks, policies and guidelines/procedures, and methodologies to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and strategy of the business. The following documents shall be reviewed and updated on an annual basisRisk Management FrameworkRisk Appetite StatementEstablish risk management practices and processes (Identification, Measurement, Controls & Mitigation, and Monitoring & Reporting) by operationalizing the approved policies.Enterprise Risk - Stress Testing onMargin bookLoan bookliquidity funding on trading payables and underwriting dealsMarket Risk - Daily Value-At-Risk Monitoring for Proprietary/Error Accounts and House/Facilitation AccountsCredit RiskBuild-up and implementation of Credit ScorecardsAssignment and review Order and Counterparty Trade LimitsReview and update of credit standard operating proceduresReview and alignment of credit processesImplement limits monitoring and control of all counterparties & institutional clientsImplement enhanced underwriting deal assessment processNon-Financial RiskImplementation of Business Continuity Management (BCM) program and Business Continuity Plan (BCP).Roll out ORM Framework and ProcessesFormalize BCM/BCP policy in line with Group Standards.Roll out ORM reporting and tools across the companyImplement Anti-Fraud Awareness ProgramPromote strong risk culture through the conduct of RM training and policy cascade to new and existing employees.Other tasks that may be assigned from time to time that will support organizational goals and objectives.JOB SPECIFICATION: Bachelor's Degree or Professional Qualification, Post Graduate is an added advantage.Must have at least 10 years of working experience in Risk Management of Financial Institution Banking and Brokerage and Lending Institution.Strong Critical and Strategic Thinking, Analytical Skills and Project Management Skills.
