We are seeking a meticulous and diligent Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. This role focuses on ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and quality of patient care documentation, with a particular emphasis on adherence to Medicare guidelines. As the Quality Assurance Specialist, you will audit documents, provide training, and collaborate with various teams to improve processes and maintain high standards of compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Document Review and Compliance
Audit patient care documents for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with healthcare guidelines.
Identify and resolve discrepancies or issues in documentation promptly.
Ensure that patient care reports are compliant and ready for billing purposes.
2. Liaison and Communication
Serve as a key point of contact between facilities, field officers, and the Quality Assurance team.
Facilitate smooth communication and promptly address issues related to documentation.
Provide guidance to facilities and field officers on documentation requirements and best practices.
3. Reporting and Analysis
Prepare regular reports on documentation accuracy, compliance, and areas for improvement.
Analyze trends to identify opportunities for refining documentation practices.
Collaborate with teams to develop strategies for improving compliance and process efficiency.
4. Training and Support
Develop and conduct training sessions for staff on Medicare documentation standards and guidelines.
Provide continuous support and feedback to ensure documentation practices remain compliant and accurate.
5. Process Improvement
Collaborate with internal teams to enhance documentation processes and procedures.
Stay updated on Medicare guidelines and regulatory changes to ensure continued compliance.
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, or a related field is a plus.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a quality assurance or compliance role, preferably within the healthcare or medical transportation industry.
In-depth knowledge of Medicare guidelines and healthcare documentation standards.
Strong analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining diligence and persistence.
