- Maintain a strong working relationship with vendors.
- Monitor stock levels and determine purchasing needs.
- Track orders and ensure timely delivery.
- Ensure the quantity and quality of purchase orders.
- Conduct marketing research to identify pricing trends.
- Choosing the suppliers that the company will deal with maintaining the legal interaction with them.
- Budgeting, costing and cost saving after reviewing the management information available.
- Health and safety, Quality and other legal requirements.
- Overseeing any large procurement that may happen.
- Monitor prices fluctuation.
- Make sure suppliers are with proper documentation especially those who supply food grave items.
- Routinely check with warehouse, production etc. that products arrive in good condition.
