Job Description
GENERAL/PRIMARY PURPOSE:
The position is responsible for the completion of engineering projects by organizing, developing and determining project elements such as but not limited to project proposals, costing and forecasting, planning and scheduling of manpower and activities, monitoring project progression and implementing the standard operating procedures established by the Operations Department.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Maintains and updates project schedules by monitoring project progress, coordinating of activities and addressing problems that may arise during construction.
• Formulates and devises methods on how to address particular problems to avoid delays in construction projects.
• Develops project objectives by reviewing proposals and plans and deliberates with the Project Manager & Project In-Charge for approval.
• Provides design and technical plans or details regarding frameworks or rebar works (storage, fabrication and installation) cutting list and rebar methodologies.
• Monitors the preparation of formworks prior to concrete components, steel molds and reinforced concrete structures to ensure overall strength and rigidness of buildings.
• Monitors the fabrication of reinforced steel bars to ensure that it follows and adheres with the laid-out plans and drawings.
• Sets the overall foundation and erection of building structures in accordance with the established structural and architectural framework and design.
• Delegate responsibilities to subordinates according to their skill sets and experience to ensure efficiency and effectiveness for the completion of project.
• Does actual assessment and evaluation of Housing Project together with the Project In-Charge and Project Manager to monitor daily, weekly and monthly accomplishment and progress and in order to identify if there is a need for rectification.
• Prepares billing reports or statements based on the percentage of project completion and submits to Project In-charge & Project Manager for checking and approval.
• Coordinates and communicates with Project Manager and Project In-charge to provide assistance and technical support.
• Attends daily safety toolbox meeting to provide updates on projects handled and other related safety and administrative concerns.
QUALIFICATIONS:The candidate must be/have a:
• A Graduate of Civil Engineering;
• Knowledgeable in Cost & Materials Estimations, Manpower Planning & Scheduling;
• Computer Literate and familiarity with MS Office App, AutoCad, and other software and system related to engineering;
