Summary:
The Operations Officer plays a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing the operational activities of the organization. Responsible for managing a team of Pest Control Technicians and ensuring efficient service delivery, the Operations Officer ensures adherence to established procedures, regulations, and quality standards. Additionally, you will spearhead initiatives for continuous improvement, client satisfaction, and technician development.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Leadership and Supervision:
Coordinate, direct, and supervise Pest Control Technicians in executing integrated pest management strategies.
Provide day-to-day guidance, instruction, and organization to the team, ensuring adherence to established protocols and schedules.
Lead the team in maintaining service quality, meeting service order timelines, and minimizing errors and safety risks.
2. Training and Development:
Conduct regular technician training sessions on safety protocols, equipment usage, and chemical handling.
Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the team to enhance expertise and service delivery.
3. Client Communication and Satisfaction:
Address client queries and concerns promptly and professionally via various communication channels (phone, SMS, email, etc.).
Resolve client complaints related to IPM services, ensuring utmost satisfaction and retention.
4. Operational Management:
Monitor and manage inventory levels of pest management materials, equipment, and chemicals on a weekly basis.
Design and implement comprehensive pest management plans tailored to client needs and regulatory requirements.
Conduct regular checks on vehicles, equipment, and chemicals used by technicians to ensure optimal performance and safety standards.
5. Strategic Planning and Analysis:
Collaborate with management in developing and executing strategic plans to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Analyze pest control trends and industry developments to inform decision-making and service enhancements.
6. Client Relationship Management:
Conduct monthly visits to key accounts to strengthen client relationships, gather feedback, and identify opportunities for service improvement.
Deliver presentations on Integrated Pest Management (IPM) principles and services to clients as needed.
7. Documentation and Reporting:
Ensure accurate and timely submission of reports, including Service Activity Reports (SAR), findings reports, and locator maps.
Maintain comprehensive records of client schedules, work orders, and technician evaluations for reference and analysis.
8. Compliance and Regulation:
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, guidelines, and industry standards in all operational activities.
Facilitate the preparation and submission of necessary permits and certifications required for pest management services.
9. Team Collaboration:
Actively participate in departmental meetings to discuss operational updates, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, resolve issues, and drive business objectives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Environmental Science, Entomology, Business Administration) preferred.
Proven experience in operations management, preferably in the pest control or related industry.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities, with a customer-centric approach.
Proficiency in Google Docs, Sheet and operational software tools.
Knowledge of Integrated Pest Management (IPM) principles and practices preferred.
Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
