Tebow CURE Children's Hospital Nurse manages the care of the patients in collaboration with the medical team, who undergo orthopedic and reconstructive surgeries. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Assisting the doctors in patient hospitalization Investigate and screen cases to confirm whether hospitalization is required Provide effective treatment on an ambulatory basis Provide follow-up care to discharged patients and their rehabilitation Control and surveillance of communicable diseases to prevent an outbreak of pandemic Coordination with other departments for a good flow of work Communicating with the patients about the disease and the purpose of the treatment Respond to the doubts and questions raised by the Patients in a clear and understandable manner. Explaining to the patients about the disease after the doctor's examination and directing them to the specific treatment they require. Keeping the instruments and equipment used in the units in a safe manner for use. Arranging the sterilized instruments and types of equipment in units. Placing all the instruments and equipment needed for the patient examination on the doctor's table. Provides nursing care, patient support, and patient/family teaching according to accepted Nursing standards, approved competencies, nursing policies, and procedures. Prepares and explains procedures to patients; assembles required equipment, supplies, and instruments; Assists physicians with a variety of approved procedures Rotate to other clinical areas (OR, Ward) as necessary Cross-train to other areas in the hospital as required and skill competency level dictates OTHER DUTIES Uphold the highest standards of quality and efficiency in line with hospital quality programs (e.g. Safecare, DOH, etc.) requirements. Ensure a safe and secure work environment by strictly adhering to infection prevention and control protocols such as but not limited to handwashing, wearing of PPE, etc. Commit to sustainable and eco-friendly work practices by minimizing waste, optimizing resource usage and actively participating in initiatives that promote environmental stewardship. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Minimum Education Required: Graduate of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing License/Certificate Required; if any: License by the Professional Regulatory Board of Nursing, Philippines, BLS, ACLS, PALS Minimum Experience Required : At least a 1-year experience as a Staff Nurse KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Fluent in local dialects such as Bisaya and Tagalog. Able to communicate well in English, verbal and written. Able to develop and provide individual patient care according to established plans of care and standards. Able to identify and interpret early indicators of the crisis and intervene immediately.
