Medical Technologist

A Medical Technologist is responsible for conducting laboratory tests, analyzing results, and ensuring the quality and accuracy of testing procedures in clinical settings such as hospitals, diagnostic labs, or research facilities. They work with various biological specimens, including blood, urine, tissue, and other bodily fluids, using sophisticated lab equipment.
Key Responsibilities: Perform complex chemical, biological, hematological, immunologic, microscopic, and bacteriological tests on patient samples.Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.Prepare and analyze body fluids, tissues, and other substances to detect abnormalities or diseases.Record and report test results accurately to physicians and other healthcare professionals.Ensure quality control standards are maintained, including calibration and troubleshooting of equipment.Follow laboratory safety procedures and proper handling of potentially hazardous materials.Participate in the development and evaluation of new diagnostic techniques and laboratory procedures.Maintain detailed records of tests and specimens to ensure traceability and compliance with regulatory requirements.Collaborate with medical professionals and communicate effectively regarding test results and findings.Assist in training and supervising junior laboratory staff or technicians.
