Mechanical Technician

1.
Performs routine inspection of equipment as indicated in the daily maintenance program.
2.
Identifies problems, recommends and takes necessary corrective action.
3.
Responds to maintenance requests by all plant departments during his shift.
4.
Performs troubleshooting and repair of defective mechanical devices.
5.
Performs periodic inspection, cleaning and replacement of mechanical equipment.
6.
Performs calibration of instrumentation and control systems.
7.
Installs improvements to equipment and control systems.
8.
Prepares and updates maintenance reports.
9.
Periodically reports to the Assistant Supervisor regarding problems with the electrical and electronics equipment.
