This role involves managing a team of mechanics, ensuring high-quality service delivery, troubleshooting complex mechanical issues, and maintaining efficient operations. The Head Mechanic plays a crucial role in ensuring that vehicles or machinery are serviced and repaired to industry standards and in line with customer expectations.JOB DESCRIPTION1.Supervise, train, and mentor a team of mechanics and technicians.2.Assign tasks and manage workflow to ensure timely completion of repair and maintenance work.3.Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.4.Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical issues in vehicles or machinery.5.Oversee and participate in the repair and maintenance of various mechanical systems, including engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.6.Implement and enforce quality control procedures to ensure all repairs meet high standards of workmanship.7.Review and approve completed work to ensure accuracy and completeness.8.Address and resolve any customer complaints or issues related to repairs.9.Manage inventory of tools, parts, and supplies; ensure proper storage and ordering of materials.10.Assist in budgeting and financial planning related to the repair shop operations.11.Stay updated on the latest mechanical technologies, tools, and repair techniques.12.Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and service quality.
