PAQ is an Indigenous organization that accompanies First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples facing housing insecurity in Tio'tià:ke / Montréal.

Using a culturally adapted approach based on empowerment and harm reduction, we offer shelter, housing options and services that promote well-being and healing, and strengthen community.

We work in partnership to advocate for the health and housing rights of urban Indigenous Peoples.

Role: Under the responsibility of the Executive Director and in collaboration with the Communications and Marketing Manager, the person in this position is responsible for developing strategies and implementing initiatives related to the organization's fundraising activities.

Their mission will be to maintain all current funding sources and to diversify the organization's revenue streams. The current annual target is nearly $14M. This target will evolve over time in line with changing needs.

The person will be part of PAQ's administration team and will play an advisory role to the management team. They will be involved in making strategic decisions for the organization.

Public and Private Funding Draft grant applications. Meet with funders alongside the Executive Director and initiate discussions on potential opportunities. Solicit new funders through various communication channels. Increase the number of individual donors. Increase the number of monthly donors. Organize annual fundraising events (minimum 2). Organize meetings and site visits with major funders. Be involved in the major donor campaign. Funding reports production Produce funding reports as per the terms of the funding agreements. Produce and maintain an up-to-date reporting schedule. Administration Issue tax receipts to private donors. Manage the Donor Perfect platform or any other donation management platform. Produce personalized letters to our monthly donors. Expected Values and Attributes Strong ability to work under pressure and within tight deadlines. Creative mindset. Requirements Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, business administration, non-profit management, or public administration. Minimum of 5 years experience in fundraising, grant development and/or grant management for a non-profit organization. Demonstrated experience in obtaining and managing large-scale grants, including grants of significant size. Demonstrated success in grant writing, from proposal development to submission, with good knowledge of government grant application processes. Ability to prepare clear and compelling reports for funders and stakeholders, ensuring compliance with grant conditions. Proficiency in budget management and financial reporting related to grants, including tracking expenditures, ensuring compliance and managing reporting deadlines. Knowledge of customer relationship management platforms such as Donor Perfect, Blackbaud Raiser's Edge, Sumac, etc. Fluency in spoken and written French and English. Knowledge of Microsoft products with intermediate skills in Excel. Other information about the position Salary: $80,000-$90,000 annually, considering the candidate's experience. Regular hours will be Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM (occasional evening work during networking events). Possibility of 1 or 2 days of telecommuting per week after the probationary period. The position is based at our administrative offices located at 338 Saint-Antoine E, suite 402 (near Champ de Mars Metro). The person will need to travel to all our sites to fully understand the front-line realities. Employer-paid health insurance (after 3 months). 3 weeks of paid vacation. 10 paid sick days.
