Magnakron Oleo Philc Inc., a PEZA registered oleochemical manufacturing plant based in Special Economic Zone, Brgy. Osmena, Jose Panganiban, Camarines Norte is in need of Laboratory Analyst to aid in the Quality Assurance Department.
JOB SUMMARY
The Laboratory Analyst shall ensure that samples submitted to the laboratory are properly identified to satisfy traceability requirements and are analyzed according to required parameters using reliable equipment and chemical reagents, with analytical results properly evaluated prior to communication. The Chemical Technician is also responsible for ensuring that the laboratory process is executed in accordance with safety practices and waste management procedure.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure that samples received by the Laboratory are properly documented.
Perform analysis using appropriate method on samples as per required parameters.
Ensure that analytical results are reliable and reportable.
Ensure that analytical results are properly communicated.
Ensure that only on-spec materials are approved for transfer to product tanks.
Ensure that analytical instruments are properly functioning including the implementation of statistical process control (SPC) program.
Ensure that standardized reagents are accurately prepared.
Ensure that relevant safety practices are implemented in the laboratory.
Ensure that wastes generated by the laboratory are properly segregated and disposed as per procedure.
Communicates to the Lab Supervisor and Manager issues related to the Laboratory process.
Responsible for actively participating in Food Safety Management System, promptly reporting any violations or concerns related to food safety and ensuring compliance with established procedures.
JOB SPECIFICATION
Education : Bachelor of Science in Chemistry or Chemical Technology, Licensed Chemist or Chemical Technician
Experience : Preferably at least 2 years in an analytical laboratory in an oleochemical industry with knowledge on Gas Chromatography, but fresh graduates are welcome.
Other Attributes : Good analytical skills, trainable, willing to work on shift, Team player, good time management, good work attitude and knowledge on safe laboratory practices.
