About the Role
As a Junior Economist, you will assist the Research Head/Chief Economist in publishing Economic Updates and Morning Market Updates; gathering and processing macroeconomic data on the Philippines and select economies (e.g., US, EU, China, Japan); developing econometric models and formulating economic forecasts; and preparing client presentations on global and Philippine macroeconomic updates and outlook. You will contribute to the Research Division's daily work through gathering and processing of Philippine and global macroeconomic data and preparing economic reports and presentations.
How you'll contribute
Analyze the economic fundamentals of the Philippines and select economies using data analysis, statistical tools, econometric techniques, and forecasting methodologies.
Prepare macroeconomic views and presentations based on the results of completed data-driven analysis to summarize key messages and deliver them clearly.
Assist in arranging economic-related events and/or access to government agencies in order to meet clients' requirements or offer as value-added research.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or Statistics.
At least 1-3 years of related experience.
Knowledgeable in economic research and econometric/statistical software (e.g., R, Python, Stata, Matlab, Eviews).
Excellent writing and presentation skills.
