Job Description
Balsam International is looking for a Junior Online Merchandising Specialist to bring to life onsite experiences that inspire shoppers and drive sales for Balsamhill.com. You will have the opportunity to assist and contribute to site merchandising projects. You will coordinate and collaborate with the eCommerce team, as well as cross-functional teammates from the Philippines and overseas to ensure seasonal strategies are implemented onto the website to create a pleasant and frictionless customer experience. You will develop big picture thinking while executing eCommerce site merchandising plans.
What you’ll be doing:
- Participate in development of site merchandising plans for various onsite content regions including site navigation, landing pages, homepage, product pages and more, to support new assortment and project strategies
- Task creation on project management tools for deliverables that support site merchandising plans
- Coordinate with the Web Operations, Product Information Management, Digital Asset Management, Web Content QA, SEO, Web Development, Marketing and Creative teams to accomplish site merchandising deliverables within set parameters and timelines
- Conduct audit on general user experience and new products
- Understand and use internal eCommerce tools to execute site merchandising efforts
- Understand site structure, pages and integrations
- Understand internal processes to identify and fill gaps in documentation
- Other duties as necessary
What you bring to the table:
- College graduate with a strong academic record; preferably BA/BS in Marketing or Business Management, or in Liberal Arts
- Strong interest in eCommerce and understanding customers
- An artistic eye – understands harmonious colors, design, etc.
- Visual acuity and a keen attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in fluent English
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong critical thinking and problem solving
- Intermediate Microsoft Office experience (Excel, PPT, Word, Teams, Outlook) a plus
- Basic knowledge of SEO and paid marketing channels a plus
- Basic experience with analytics suites a plus
- Knowledge and/or background in website development and projects a plus

- Must live within Metro Manila, Cavite, Rizal, Bulacan or certain parts of Laguna only (Biñan, Cabuyao, Calamba, Los Baños, San Pedro and Santa Rosa).
- Must be willing to join occasional in-person meetings.

Location:Our corporate offices are based in Northern California with a Regional Operating Headquarters (ROHQ) in the Philippines. TheJunior Online Merchandising Specialistis a remote working position for Balsam International Unlimited Philippine ROHQ in Manila. Team members in the Philippines are ideally located within easy driving distance to Metro Manila for occasional team meetings and trainings. They have a great working environment at home with at least 5MBPS internet connection speed. Company executives visit the Philippines regularly so team members attend in-person meetings from time to time.
