JOB OBJECTIVE
Under general direction, responsible for the ownership of all technical aspects of Product Lifecycle Management, from research, development, packaging, launch, growth and maturity.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Product Research and Development
- Conducts research and evaluation of new product concepts and recommends for the company's commercial distribution
- Maintains a synergistic relationship with Business Development and Marketing Department by providing technical information while using the latter's marketing intelligence
- Conducts initial representations with potential vendors to further assess the viability of carrying the products and services offered
- Manages all aspects of new product development, testing, packaging and documentation
- Defines and establish the product roadmap to expand and improve the product portfolio, taking into consideration the current and future opportunities
- Regularly monitors, evaluates, documents and reports the performance of the products in the portfolio in terms of competitiveness, and technology, and recommends appropriate product plans and strategy
Product Documentation
- Defines and documents product description, technical specifications, requirements and service levels to ensure the offering of relevant and competitive products that meet customer expectations
- Creates, secures approval and publishes a knowledge-base of all products and services carried by the company
- Collates and safe keeps all product-related literature, including but not limited to :
1. Product deck and product information sheets
2. Product end-to-end process (i.e., Productization)
3. FAQ's
4. Customer experience / journey
5. Users' Manual
6. Training Materials
7. Product Certificates for Third Parties (e.g., ASC)
8. Roadmap and WBS Templates
- Defines and documents back-end processes required to operationally support delivery of assigned products/services
- Provides relevant information which shall serve as inputs in the creation of :
1. Product Presentations
2. Marketing materials
- Attends client meetings to satisfactorily answer technical inquiries and/or conduct technical presentation, as necessary
- Responds to technical queries as endorsed and part of after-sales support
Corporate Planning and Deliverables Monitoring
- Participates in strategic and operational planning activities of the company.
- Prepares, submits and presents reports relative to the development of approved plans, the status and assessment of the same.
- Performs other functions as directed by the management from time to time
JOB SPECIFICATION
I. Minimum Educational Attainment - Bachelor's Degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering, Computer Engineering, BS Information Technology or related courses
II. Actual Work Experience – At least three (3) years actual working experience in product research and development of IT Solutions
