IN-HOUSE VIDEO DIRECTOR Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and visionary Video Director to lead the creative and technical aspects of our video projects from concept to completion. The Video Director will work closely with our production team, and stakeholders to create compelling and high-quality short drama series that aligns with our brand, and resonates with our target audience. This role requires a strong sense of storytelling, aesthetic vision, and the ability to manage all stages of production, from planning to post-production.
Key Responsibilities:
Story and Concept Development: Together with Video Writer, develop original and adapted scripts aligned with company goals, targeted towards a wide range of Filipino audiences.
Casting and Pre-Production: Oversee casting sessions and work with producer and casters to select actors, as well as plan and coordinate with key crew members, including the Director of Photography, Production Designer, and Post Production Head.
Visual and On-set Direction: Lead on set direction, communicating with actors and production staff, to ensure that visuals are effective, the story evokes the appropriate emotions, the actors are performing well in their roles, all while maintaining production quality and following set timelines.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with producer, cinematographer, production designer, and other crew members to create cohesive and high-quality visuals, and collaborate in building an engaging set environment.
Post-Production Oversight: Guide the editing process, including selecting shot takes, overseeing color grading, sound design, and scoring to achieve a polished final product that meets the creative vision.
Budget and Timeline Management: Manage project budgets and production timelines, balancing creative goals with available resources to deliver the project on time and within scope.
Distribution Strategy: Collaborate with producer to plan festival submissions and other distribution channels, maximizing the reach and impact of each drama series.
NOTE: 25% of the time will be traveling to China
