Filinvest Hotel: Crimson Hotel Filinvest City Manila The General Cashier is responsible for managing the hotels cash transactions with accuracy and integrity, ensuring all cash-handling procedures are followed according to company policies. This role involves handling daily cash reconciliations, preparing bank deposits, maintaining a petty cash fund, and assisting with various finance-related tasks to support smooth financial operations. The General Cashier works closely with the accounting team, upholding the hotel's financial standards.
Key Responsibilities: Cash Handling & Reconciliation Accurately count and record daily cash, credit card, and other transactions from all hotel departments.Prepare and reconcile the daily cash drop, ensuring all funds are accounted for and recorded properly.Prepare daily banking deposits and coordinate with the bank for cash deposits and withdrawals.Petty Cash Management Manage the hotels petty cash fund, issuing cash in line with approved requests and ensuring appropriate documentation.Perform regular petty cash reconciliations, ensuring that receipts and expenditures are correctly accounted for.Banking & Financial Reporting Prepare daily cash reports and submit to the Finance Manager for review.Assist in maintaining accurate records of all cash transactions in the hotels accounting system.Handle all aspects of currency exchange and ensure compliance with hotel policies and regulations.Compliance & Internal Controls Follow all hotel and company policies related to cash handling, accounting standards, and audit requirements.Participate in audits and collaborate with the accounting team to ensure financial data accuracy.Implement and uphold internal controls to protect the hotels cash assets and prevent loss.Other Financial Support Assist with month-end closing activities, ensuring timely reconciliation of cash and petty cash.Support the accounting team with additional duties as needed, including invoice preparation, processing payments, and ledger entries.Address discrepancies in cash handling, and work with relevant departments to resolve any issues promptly. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; a degree or certification in accounting or finance is preferred.Minimum of 1-2 years experience in a cashier or cash-handling role, ideally in a hotel or hospitality environment.Proficiency in using financial software and MS Office, especially Excel.Strong numerical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work with high accuracy.Knowledge of accounting principles and cash-handling procedures.Strong ethical standards and ability to handle confidential information responsibly.Willingness to work in Muntinlupa City
