Qualifications:
Graduate of 2 year Course in Electrical or Electronics or Communications Technology.
At least 6 years working experience preferably in installation or integrator company in-line with electrical or telecommunications works.
Knowledge of: Principles, theory, methods, materials, tools and test equipment used in installation of extra low current systems.
Task Description:
Cable installation for various extra low current systems e.g. fibre optic cables (outdoor & indoor), copper twisted pair cables, audio cables, control cables, etc.
Installation of extra low current field devices, IT TAPs, patch panels, CCTV cameras, magnetic locks, door sensors, loudspeakers, etc.
Cables and wires end-termination to panels and field devices.
Perform cable testing e.g. continuity, insulation, etc. using appropriate cable test instrument e.g. multi-mete test, megger test, IT cable network data analyser for copper and fibre optic cables,
Prepare sketches or follow blueprints to determine the location of wiring and equipment and to ensure conformance to building and safety codes.
Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.
Adhering to ACGC / Client Tool Control Procedures, as and when required.
Working with limited supervision;
Be able to work with a small team of electricians, motivate them and make sure the required quality and progress is achieved
Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with colleagues.
Performance of other tasks as may be required.
