Database Administrator - up to 100k monthly - onsite in BGC, Taguig City
Qualifications:
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
- 4+ year(s) of working experience specializing in IT/Computer - Software.
- Extensive experience in MSSQL Administration and SQL server tools
- Proficient in MS SQL Server 2019, Apache Cassandra, MariaDB
- Strong proficiency in MongoDb, Redis architecture, installation, configuration, and administration
- Experience in using 3rd party frameworks, API's and Web Services.
- Knowledge in AWS Service (EC2, EBS, VPC, IAM, RDS, S3, CloudWatch, Lambda).
- Scripting Experience such as Python and Shell scripting.
- Deep understanding of cloud-based application development and deployment
- An understanding of information legislation, such as the Data Policy Act.
- PowerShell and Unix shell scripting skills
- Working experience with SSAS, SSIS, SSRS and MS BI
- Good organizational, problem solving and communication skills
- Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge
Responsibilities:
- Data Administration in a clustered environment and managed database service, on-premise data centers or cloud providers
- Ensure database integrity and high availability
- Develop and test disaster recovery strategies to ensure data availability and business continuity
- Database monitoring and tuning.
- Comprehensive technical documentation, plans and reports
- Backup and recovery planning.
- Maintain data standards and security, including adherence to the Data Policy Act
- Enforce security measure, data encryption and control data access
- Root cause analysis of data-related issues
- Manage servers in large-scale, geographically distributed environments.
- Collaboration with application teams during development
- Database Programming & Application( SQL, MongoDB, Redis).
- Design, develop, test, implement new and existing databases.
- Analyze and resolve database performance bottlenecks, slow queries, and resource issues.
- Provide expert troubleshooting support and proactively improve database and server performance
