Job Description The Data Center Operations Officer is responsible for assisting the Data Center Operations Department Head in establishing the unit's strategy and overseeing the daily operations with the objective of meeting agreed SLAs. He/she is expected to perform procedural training for new Data Center Specialists and cascade system handling and batch process changes to all DC Specialists. He/she is also expected to collaborate closely with the DCO Head to monitor the overall performance of the team and to assist the DCO Head in managing the team's capacity and utilization.
Gain a comprehensive understanding of Network services and document their scope. Oversee network onboarding projects, from initiation to completion, including defining scope, allocating resources, scheduling, and managing risks. Collaborate with network architects, network operations lead, and project managers to define and address risks in the adoption process, ensuring post-implementation support from the NOC team. Propose and implement continuous improvement plans for the skills, methodology, performance, and processes of the Network team. Communicate action plans to clients, coordinate crisis management, and ensure customer reporting is maintained. Proactively propose and implement measures to ensure stability, response time, operational consistency, and lifecycle management of System Infrastructures. Ensure comprehensive service coverage by specialists including monitoring and other activities within the network service perimeter, to facilitate team adoption and anticipate future needs across the network community for NOC operations services (e.g., upskilling, and access management). Engage in proactive Problem Management processes. Contribute to and adhere to the development of the service contract. Define the content and execution of services through SLA descriptions. Ensure that events impacting the service contract are accounted for throughout its lifecycle. Take charge of developing progress plans and crafting action plans. Assess the impact of any changes on service levels, particularly service level commitments and operational agreements. Deploy and oversee a suitable set of metrics to monitor activity, including volume, performance, and incidents. Monitor, analyze, and assess the operational performance of customer support and indicator results, proposing action plans accordingly. Adhere to the budget outlined in the service contract. Contribute to identifying services that add value. Identify emerging customer needs. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field 5+ years of work experience as a Data Center Operator / Data Center Specialist 3+ years of work experience in a supervisory capacity Willing to accept project-based type of employment Willing to work on-site in Makati City Working Location Equitable Bank Tower, 8751 Paseo de Roxas, Makati, 1227 Kalakhang Maynila, Philippines
