Key Responsibilities: Design the organization's Data Analytics and Business Intelligence Framework and Processes Lead and craft the structural data workflows, design, processes and pathways for the organizational Datawarehouse that will facilitate the collection, storing, analysis and reporting of data related to WVDF's Business Operations (with particular focus on Programmes, Fundraising, strategy performance); Coordinate with ICT in the development and enhancement of infrastructures and systems needed for data analytics and business intelligence function; Develop the necessary models and projections to support strategic planning; Develop data models, data definitions and reporting methodologies; Ensure the team acquires, develops and maintains knowledge of best practices and tools needed for data acquisition, transformation, maintenance, and analysis. Data Sourcing, Analysis and Reporting Regularly source key internal and external data/information related to WVDF's business operations. Establish business processes and coordinate with internal stakeholders in identifying key data/information, sourcing, analysing and reporting data/information; Create/Enhance reporting dashboards for WVDF to include the development of metrics and the monitoring of key business outcomes; Provide analytic leadership: Analyze the performance and trends of WVDF's performance on key business operations; Present data analytics in an efficient and easily understandable way to a wide variety of audiences and users, using various reporting formats and web technologies; Research new tools, systems and practices to recommend ongoing improvements in data analytics; Design reliable forecasting and other models to make recommendations to improve organizational performance and support planning; Analyze data using best practice methodologies and consistent definitions to support evidence-based decision making and to identify trends and opportunities; Translate data into information; Provide leadership or co-leadership on specific data analytics and research projects, as required, including surveys, benchmarking, focus, and ad hoc groups where appropriate; Prepare and deliver presentations at internal and external meetings or conferences; Participate in relevant internal and external committees and councils, or events; Contribute to the development of strategic and operational plans. User Consultancy Build positive, productive and collaborative relationships within WVDF and with its partners; Create and implement policies on what and how data is used for reporting including who has access to the data and ensuring privacy legislation is followed; In partnership with the Data Stewards in the organization, accountable for the stewardship of data within the portfolio including: Ensuring the data has integrity for what it is being used for; Ensuring privacy rules are followed; Providing a documented understanding of data ensuring accurate interpretation; Ensuring the appropriate application of the data by establishing appropriate review and approval processes; Creating a multi-functional core group among key staff across different departments (RD, Finance, SCM, ICT) to share capacity, learnings and synergize and maximize resources for organizational data analytics and business intelligence. Partnership Development and Sustainability Identify key institutions, agencies, experts individuals/groups to serve as strategic partners for data sourcing/sharing and research with WVDF; Participate in consortium and network meetings related to the identification, implementation or presentation of data analysis and research of WVDF. Management of Data Analytics and Business Intelligence Team and provide training and mentoring Conduct regular meetings with the team (including consultants) to plan, review and assess performance; Ensure the learning and development needs of the team are addressed; Provide timely support to the team (including consultants) and facilitate resolution of critical issues/concerns; Ensure team's compliance to organizationally mandated trainings and requirements including spiritual nurture activities (e.g. Monday Devotion, Corporate Prayer, DOP, SLT 101 & 20); Provide training/coaching to the team (including consultants), SMIL Team and other teams in WVDF, where necessary, to improve organizational capacity on data analytics and business intelligence. Engage in Organizational Mandated Activities Complete all mandated staff training/orientations; Engage in Relief Operations and Emergency Response (as needed); Regularly participate in Spiritual Nurture Activities (e.g. Monday Devotion, Corporate Prayer and Day of Prayer); Participate as committee member or special task/assignment as deemed necessary.
