As a Damage and Recovery Specialist, we will need you to deliver exceptional customer service to our client's members by answering queries via phone and email. Empathy is crucial to the role, as members have often experienced an accident. The Damage and Recovery Specialist will need to guide the member through the damage process and ensure minimal effort is required of the member while ensuring the vehicle is back on the road in the minimum time. Some of the things we'd expect you to do are to… Develops effective relationships with, and influences, internal and external stakeholders including repairers, insurers, members, third-party direct, brokers third-party insurance companies. Assessing damage repair costs to ensure all repair costs are fair and reasonable. Determining accident liabilities with legislated Road Rules and explaining liability decisions to stakeholders. Negotiate with various stakeholders (third parties, third-party insurers, third-party hire car companies and suppliers) for fair and reasonable pricing. Joint responsibility for the maximisation of the efficiency and availability of our assets by, for example, minimising off-road time and ordering stock parts. Investigating damage and keeping unallocated losses to a minimum. Takes accountability for accurately recording information and reporting at the required frequency. Managing debt recoveries from members and setting up payment plans. Liaising with third-party collections agents and third-party insurers to follow up on outstanding cases. Escalating long-term unpaid debt. Monitoring risk and telematic alerts to prevent damage by quickly identifying bad actors and fraudulent accounts.
