We are currently looking for a Daily Briefings Broadcast Editor that creates accurate and concise summaries of assigned broadcast (radio and TV) and/or editorial content each day tailored to the client's requirements, and the proposed audience, in order to ensure the briefing is meeting its intended purpose and highlighting the most critical and relevant coverage for the client on any given day.
The shift pattern for the role is Sunday to Thursday, 11:30 am to 8:30 pm (permanent work from home setup).
Key Responsibilities
Listen and view assigned broadcast content (TV and Radio) and create concise summaries within required time thresholds. Ensure grammatical and style parameters are met in each Briefing Maintain a solid understanding of Mediaportal and internal systems to ensure efficient Daily Briefings production Complete assigned schedule of Daily Briefings each day Ensure client knowledge on summary requirements is kept up to date by checking relevant information in Broadcast NewsDesk and via e-mails from sales and operations teams Requirements Key Skills
Candidates must be a College Graduate in Bachelor of Mass Communication, Journalism, Broadcast Communication, International Studies, English, or any related courses Excellent written English language skills with a strong focus on spelling and grammar. Minimum typing speed of 60 words per minute. Ability to determine priorities and use initiative within agreed parameters. Sound knowledge of current affairs, political and economic news issues.
