About the role
We are seeking a skilled Credit Risk Analyst to join our team at Rural Bank of Pilar Sorsogon, Inc. (RBPI) in Pilar Sorsogon. As a full-time Credit Risk Analyst, you will play a crucial role in evaluating and analyzing credit applications, ensuring that the bank's lending decisions are well-informed and aligned with its risk appetite.
What you'll be doing
Assess credit applications from businesses and individuals, evaluating their financial standing, creditworthiness and repayment capacity
Gather and analyze relevant financial data, including balance sheets, income statements and cash flow projections
Identify and mitigate potential credit risks, providing recommendations to the credit committee
Maintain comprehensive credit records and documentation
Collaborate with the sales team to provide input on credit terms and conditions
Stay up-to-date with industry regulations, guidelines and best practices in credit analysis
What we're looking for
Relevant bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field
Minimum 3 years of experience in a credit analysis or lending role, preferably within the banking or financial services industry
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial statements and identify potential risks
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present findings and recommendations effectively
Proficient in using financial analysis software and spreadsheet applications
Thorough understanding of credit policies, regulations and best practices in the banking industry
Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate and up-to-date records
