About the role: Reporting directly to the IT Manager, the Compliance Officer ensures a company functions in a legal and ethical manner while meeting its business goals. The Compliance Officer is responsible for developing compliance programs, reviewing company policies, and advising management on possible risks.
Job Duties and Responsibilities: Assists department head in monitoring the information security program of the companyDevelops, reviews and updates the IS Policy, standards, guidelines and proceduresProactively audits processes, practices and documents to identify weaknessesEvaluates business activities for compliance riskCollaborates with external auditors when neededSets plans to manage a crisis or compliance violationEducates and trains employees on regulations and industry practicesKeeps abreast of internal standards and business goalsPerforms other duties as assignedRequirements: Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in any related fieldAt least 2 years of working experience in the related field is required for this positionMust have a working knowledge of HIPAA, PCI-DSS, ISO or any security standardsMust have knowledge in Information Security Risk ManagementMust have experience in delivering trainingMust be assertive in implementing control policies, guidelines and proceduresSelf-motivatedAble to perform tedious tasks in security complianceAudit tasks for IT securityWith technical support backgroundMust have good written and verbal communication skillsMust have the ability to work well both independently and collaboratively as a member of the team
